Anyone replaced the H30 88-94 holding tank?

If so, how did you get to the screws holding it down? My aluminium tank is held down by screws at the bottom into the plywood floor. The plywood cockpit bottom obscures the screws on the tank's starboard side.

         
         
Patrick, I have replaced the tank.  best to do in the cool months!You can get these screws out with a great deal of patience.  I think I used a stubby screw driver and a lot of cussing.  My friend Roy from the west coast cut a hole in the aft cabin.  another way to get to it.  I think it is in the archives.  check it out.I did not use new plumbing.  If I had to do it again i would have.  Just ran out of time.Ed

         
         
I replaced the holding tank on my 30T (1991), and have photographs and instructions that I can send to anyone who would like to see how I did it.  BIG JOB!  I will need a mailing address so contact me through the Owner Directory.

         
         
Pat, I replaced old 19 gallon tank with new 25 gallon plastic tank by RONCO PLASTICS.(great price and great service.!!!!!!!!) Straight forward job for the quot;handy personquot;. Some simple woodworking is involved. Will be happy to share with you quot;how to doquot; information including pictures showing all stages of how I had it done. If interested, pls give some address or e-mail. Also,in this design I used internal plumbing, so no smelly pipes outside.

Jerzy,My holding tank (1990 30G)has been relocated from the head cabinet to under the aft bunk where the batteries were.  It is too small, and I've been wanting to replace it. 25 gallons sound luxurious!  Send me your info too....d.strong@verizon.net.  Tanks...:gt;)
